The Rappahannock County Public Library is located in Washington, Virginia. The library provides services to all residents living within the county boundaries with services also available to residents of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Page, and Warren counties.

The library system holds over 30,000 materials including books, audiobooks, digital video discs, compact discs, musical instruments, STEAM kits, and adventure backpacks. The library is also a member of the Blue Ridge Download Consortium, which allows access to thousands of downloadable audio and e-books. In addition to these items, the library offers public Internet access, computer work stations, printing, copying, scanning, fax services, meeting space, and special programming.

Employment Opportunity

The Rappahannock County Library is seeking a full-time employee to fill the position of Librarian- Youth Services. This Librarian is responsible for planning, promoting, and presenting youth and family programs, providing community outreach, developing and maintaining youth materials collections, providing information and readers' advisory services to library users, circulation duties, and clerical tasks. Starting salary will be from $53,074.36 per year, depending upon experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance with family supplement and Virginia Retirement System.
