CURBSIDE SERVICE AVAILABLE
Beginning Tuesday, May 26th, the Rappahannock County Library will reopen with a no contact curbside pickup only option for library holds from Monday-Friday between 11am and 4pm.
Patrons can place holds by telephone (540-675-3780), email (email@example.com), or on the Rappahannock County Library website (https://rappahannocklibrary.org) using the My Account feature.
Please be advised, there may be delays in item availability due to the 72-hour quarantining of all recently returned materials. Library staff will notify you when your item(s) are sanitized and ready for pickup.
Items will be located immediately outside of the library on a frequently sanitized table. Items will be clearly labeled with patron’s names. Please practice social distancing, make sure there is only one person at the table at a time, and only touch/take the items with your name on them.
The return due date for all library materials has been extended until June 30. Item returns can be made through the book drop.
The Rappahannock County Library will be closed until further notice in order to protect our patrons, staff, and volunteers from the spread of Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). We will reassess the situation as information becomes available.
The decision was guided by information from the US Centers for Disease Control, input from our local Emergency Management Coordinator, The Library of Virginia, and our inability to purchase an adequate amount of disinfectant due to on-going state-wide product shortages.
Due dates on all library materials will be extended.
Our website, www.rappahannocklibrary.org remains available 24/7 and offers access to e-books, e-audio books, educational and research databases.
Wi-Fi will be available 24/7 on the library grounds.
We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to seeing everyone safe and healthy in the near future.
David Shaffer Victoria Fortuna
Library Director President, Library Board
